Lisa Alderson
Director, President & CEO
Lisa Alderson has over fifteen years experience building new media and technology businesses. She founded her
first company at the age of 19 and has now been involved with six early-stage ventures.
Most recently, Lisa was the president of Cinema Circle, Inc., a pioneer in subscription
based home entertainment for independent filmmakers, where she oversaw content, original
production, marketing, distribution, fulfillment, customer service, legal, and finance.
Cinema Circle, Inc. was acquired by Gaiam, Inc. (NASDAQ: GAIA). Lisa has managed three
other venture backed start-ups through funding and market launch, including Omnilux, Inc.
(now Clearmesh Networks), Genomic Health (NASDAQ: GHDX), and iExchange.com (now Placemark
Investments). Alderson is a former manager of Strategic Planning at The Walt Disney
Company where she developed long-term strategy and new business initiatives for ABC, ESPN
and Disney's other cable assets. She is also a former strategy consultant. Alderson has
an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Colorado State
University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Andre Haddad
Director
Andre Haddad is CEO of Shopping.com (an eBay company), the global leader in online comparison shopping. Previously,
he was Senior Vice President, Product at eBay. In that role he oversaw product management,
design and research for eBay's global marketplace business ($5.1 bn in revenue, $65 bn in
trading volume, 200 million users in 2007). Andre played several roles at eBay including GM
in Europe, VP International Operations and VP User Experience and Design. Previous to eBay,
Andre co-founded iBazar, a leading European auction marketplace which was acquired by eBay
in 2001 for $140m. Andre was the COO at iBazar, with responsibility over Product, Marketing,
International and Customer Service. Before iBazar, Andre was a brand manager at P&G and a
consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton. He graduated from HEC Paris.
Rich Moran
Director
Rich Moran joined Venrock in 2007. As a 25-year veteran of Silicon Valley, Rich has served as a business
consultant, social scientist, bestselling author and evangelist for organization
effectiveness. Previously, he served as a Partner at Accenture in the technology,
entertainment, media and entertainment practice. Rich has written five best selling
books, including his latest, Nuts, Bolts and Jolts and in his spare time, he runs a
small, family vineyard and winery in Knights Valley. Rich currently sits on the board
of GluMobile, Sutura, Twofish and TurnHere. He has an M.S. in Personnel Administration
from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Miami University.
Tom Peterson
Director
Tom Peterson is a veteran early-stage technology investor who has been with El Dorado Ventures
(www.eldorado.com) since 1986. He focuses
on early-stage investments in software, service and communications companies. Tom joined
El Dorado from Union Venture Corp., the venture capital arm of Union Bank of California,
where he was an Investment Officer. Prior to joining Union Venture, Tom held engineering and
management positions with Hewlett-Packard and General Electric. Tom received a Bachelor's
degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson
School of Management. Tom is on the board of Blaze DFM, Ecast, Jigsaw Data, SkinStore.com,
Strix Systems, and Edgewater Networks.
